Aichi

The name "Kami-no-I" (meaning “Well of the Gods”) was inspired by a deep connection to Atsuta Shrine, where the legend of Yamato Takeru and the sacred sword Kusanagi is passed down. The third-generation head of the brewery donated rice fields to the shrine, and from that connection, the sake was named with the hope that it would be as pure and sacred as the water drawn from the shrine’s holy well (御神井), believed to be where the gods themselves drink. Kami-no-I offers a wide range of sake, including Daiginjo (Arabashiri), Junmai Daiginjo (Kanku no Sake), Yamada Nishiki Junmai Ginjo (Otaka), Ginjo (Yotte Gozaru), and Tokubetsu Junmai (N). The labels, designed with motifs inspired by the local area, are also part of the brand’s charm and popularity. The master brewer takes a progressive approach—respecting traditional flavors while embracing innovation to bring out new expressions and character in the sake. The brewery team is wholeheartedly dedicated to crafting sake that they themselves find truly delicious. They hope Kami-no-I will become a beloved companion to your joyful gatherings and cherished moments.
