DHC Brewery Company
Niigata
Originally founded in 1908 as Oguro Shuzo, the brewery built a strong reputation throughout the 20th century.
During the 1990s, it received gold medals almost every year at appraisal competitions held by the Kanto-Shinetsu Regional Taxation Bureau.
In 2014, it joined the DHC Group and was reborn as DHC Shuzo.
Committed to sake brewing rooted in its local community, the brewery uses 100% Niigata-grown rice.
By combining time-honored techniques passed down since the Meiji era with modern brewing facilities, it continues to craft sake with a strong focus on freshness and precision.
The brewery also holds Kosher certification—one of the world’s oldest food safety standards—demonstrating its dedication to quality and trust.
Its flagship labels include Koshi no Bairi and Kayama, both widely recognized for their balance and craftsmanship.
