Meijo Brewery Company
Hyogo
Meijō Brewery was established in 1966 through the merger of six breweries in Himeji, centered around Imai Brewery, originally founded in 1864.
The name "Meijō" pays homage to Himeji Castle (also known as the White Heron Castle), one of Japan’s most renowned castles, standing proudly at the heart of the Banshū Plain.
For over 150 years, the brewery has preserved its traditional flavors and now produces the largest volume of sake in the Banshū region.
Their Daiginjo and Junmai sakes are especially notable—meticulously handcrafted from the koji-making stage and slowly fermented at low temperatures to bring out refined aromas and elegant flavors. A sake born of tradition, care, and craftsmanship.
