Yamazaki Brewery Company (Osaka)
Gunma
Yamazaki Sake Brewery, established in 1875, is located in the eastern part of Gunma Prefecture, in the town of Nitta-Kisaki, Ota City. The brewery's origins trace back to their ancestors from Niigata Prefecture, who worked as toji (master brewers) in Gunma before setting up their own brewery in this region.
Their main sake brands include "Nihon Homare," "Taiheiki no Sato," and "Makoto no Kokoro," all of which offer rich and crisp flavors, embodying traditional and rustic tastes. These sakes are widely enjoyed as food accompaniments.
Embracing the concept of being a sake shop that even non-drinkers can enjoy, Yamazaki Sake Brewery has transformed its traditional grain warehouse into a café, where visitors can savor coffee and sake. They also host events like "Kura Zemi" (brewery seminars) and concerts, actively engaging in cultural initiatives to preserve and promote the heritage of Japanese sake.
