Kagura Brewery Company
Mie
In 1858 (Ansei 5), the fifth-generation Kozaemon began brewing sake under the name "Kagura" in what is now Muroyama-cho, Yokkaichi City. Since then, for over a century, the brewery has preserved the art of sake brewing by combining time-honored, handcrafted techniques passed down through generations of master brewers with modern fermentation science. This fusion has allowed them to continue crafting sake with the rich aroma and deep flavor unique to Japanese sake.
Today, the area surrounding the brewery features the scenic “Shigo Furusato no Michi,” a nature trail enveloped in lush greenery. Hydrangeas line the mountain paths, delighting visitors, and from the hilltops, one can enjoy sweeping views of the Chita Peninsula and the large vessels traversing Ise Bay.
With a foundation of tradition and the blessings of abundant nature, their sake reflects a truly local character—an experience they invite everyone to savor.
