Aomori
Matsumidori Brewery has a long history dating back to the Edo period, initially producing shubo for sake brewers in the Tsugaru area. In 1904, the brewery shifted its focus to sake brewing and officially became a joint stock company in 1959. In 2016, Matsumidori Brewery made history by becoming the first brewery in Aomori Prefecture to achieve kosher certification, a globally recognized standard for food safety. It also transitioned to a pure rice brewing method, eliminating the addition of brewer’s alcohol to its sake. Moreover, the brewery boasts a diverse workforce with many employees from outside Aomori Prefecture. By embracing various perspectives and leveraging the best of Aomori's offerings, we strive to create exceptional sake that resonates with an ever-changing world.
