Mokutani Brewery Company
Hyogo
Kitani Brewery was founded in 1833 in Nishinomiya, Nada—one of Japan’s most famous sake-brewing regions—and has continued brewing for nearly 180 years.
Their flagship sake, Kiichi, is named after the brewery’s founder, and also reflects the philosophy that “those who drink, sell, and brew the sake can all share in the same joy.”
The sake is brewed using 100% Yamada Nishiki, Japan’s premier sake rice, and Miyamizu, the famous mineral-rich water from the Nada region. The unique local climate, including the crisp "Rokko Oroshi" winds from Mount Rokko, further supports a refined and expressive sake-making process.
