The brewery, which had been inactive for over 30 years since 1983, was famously revived in 2017 by its sixth-generation brewer, Ryutaro Miyoshi. Although Miyoshi was determined to reopen the brewery, he faced significant challenges, including removing outdated equipment and raising funds for renovations. Assistance came from Norifumi Sumikawa of Sumikawa Shuzojo, who offered the use of their facilities. With this support, Miyoshi crafted his first sake, and since the revival, he has garnered multiple awards both domestically and internationally. Today, he is celebrated as a young and skilled toji (master brewer).
