The brewery was founded in 1893 after becoming independent from the Kumagai Chouemon family. In 1955, it became a company and adopted the name 'Mizuzu' for its sake. Located at an altitude of 750 meters, the area offers an ideal environment for brewing, with clean air and water. The brewery uses soft water from the Narai River system, resulting in smooth and gentle sake.
