Cedar Sake LLC

Cedar Sake LLC

New York, USA

Mr. Daisuke Nakajima, the founder and CEO, left his position at an American investment bank to establish Cedar Sake LLC, a company based in the U.S. that offers an original Japanese sake brand called BŌKEN. Partnering with long-established breweries in Japan, he collaborates with them to create unique, original sake products. The brand name BŌKEN carries two meanings. One is “adventure” or “journey,” reflecting the desire to take American consumers on an exciting exploration into the world of Japanese sake. The other meaning speaks to the challenge faced by Japanese breweries—it’s an “adventure” into the U.S. market. With the mission of making regional Japanese sake a natural pairing with American cuisine—and a familiar alternative to beer or wine—Mr. Nakajima continues to expand both the number of brewery partners and the regions where BŌKEN is available.
