A great sipping sake. Smooth, medium body sake, slightly on the dry side. Opens with a light floral and rice smell. Taste of Asian pear and a rice finish. Has the texture of mineral water. Very balanced but lighter than most Junmai Daiginjo I’ve had.

Umami, rich smell to the nose. Relaxing rich umami flavor. Fuller body with some light acidic notes, smooth and slightly creamy

I was surprised when I saw the notes saying an umami front sake how sweet the aromatic was. I really got notes of melon. Specifically, I got notes of Honeydew first, then another whiff I got Cantaloupe. As I spun it in my glass, I also got some savory notes, although very light. When drinking this sake, I was amazed at the complexity, but the balance with this sake too! When I first drank this, there was a nice umami front and a crisp acid finish to this sake. As I drank some more, the acid really calmed down and never overpowered the sake. This was definitely a medium-light body for this sake to me. There was nothing overpowering anything else.

This Nigori has a rich medium aroma to it. I caught hints of rice and fresh rice koji. It also had a bit of a white power smell, reminding me of italian baking flower of all things. The first few sips of this sake were strong, bringing in the flavor as soon as you take your first sip. I instantly thought of tart fruits or high acid citrus. Drinking it reminded me of a freshly squeezed lemon lime mix or an orange infused cocktail. This flavor was not like the Nigori I have had in the past. It was a surprising change. This one also felt heavier than most Nigori I have had in the past.

I get light hints of the rice and a little bit of fruit in the smell. The color reminds me of a light yellow straw bale. It's a mild sweetness to it with a nice acidic finish. I still can not pinpoint what this fruit undertone is but I always enjoy it. A nice light to medium body and a good finish make this sake so enjoyable. As I drink more, I feel the rice flavor comes out and there is almost a creaminess to it.

Light to medium smells of flower and licorice. Medium body, balanced, light sweetness of the top. Slicky with a light dry linger. I taste strawberry and floral hints. I could taste almost a bit of honey at the end. A great Junmai Daiginjo.
