A rare strain of rice. I get strong licorice or anise on the nose with a hint of menthol (mint) in the flavor. Interesting in balance. Sweetness lingers for a bit. The texture is like a fine liquor.

A gorgeous sake. Clean and smooth. Some effervescence but nice honey and ripe banana flavors.

Nice honeydew melon and lychee flavor

Very bright and lovely sake. Super dry finish, hints of jasmine and earthiness on the nose. I get notes of butteriness and crisp apple in the flavor.

Fantastic and priced well. Beautiful bouquet of blossoms, vanilla, and ripe banana with hints of melon and pear. The taste profile is subtle with a good balance of sweetness and dryness without being too sweet. My taste was creamy ripe banana, unami and caramel with a creamy minerality. It finishes with a caramel and green banana. Beautiful expression of a fantastic sake.

A personal favorite. Starts out very unassuming with a mild nose that holds green apple and almond with hints of vanilla and flora. Flavor is very complex: caramel, banana, rose hips, and melon.

Pear, vanilla and floral nose. Vanilla, pear, melon, white pepper and rice flower in flavor.

Very nice earthy but balanced sake. I get good hints of moss and banana on the nose followed by green apple and banana with some minerality in palate.

Very interesting balance between dry and sweet. I love the fruit forward taste with its melon and ripe banana flavors. Nose is subtle but distinct. Paired with grilled octopus.
