Founded in 1797 in the historic town of Tamba-Sasayama, Hōmei Shuzō is a brewery with over 220 years of tradition. The name “Hōmei” was inspired by Hōmei Gijuku, the prestigious local domain school known for producing many notable figures. With a philosophy that “sake is culture,” the brewery is committed to crafting sake rooted in the local heritage, using rice grown in Tamba-Sasayama and pure mountain spring water from the Tamba mountain range.
