Miharu Brewery Company

Fukushima

Miharu Brewery, located in the scenic town of Miharu—famous for the Takizakura, one of Japan’s three great cherry trees—proudly represents Fukushima’s fine sake tradition. Among its signature labels, “Miharukoma Black Label” is a dry, easy-to-drink local sake beloved by the townspeople. Brewed in the style of honjozo but distributed only within the region, it is widely recognized as a go-to everyday sake and a popular gift choice. At the same time, the brewery actively promotes seasonal limited-edition products outside the town, including “Special Junmai Takizakura,” “Summer Junmai Ginjo,” “Hiyaoroshi Junmai Ginjo,” and “Hatsushibori.” According to brewmaster Teppei Saito, these seasonal releases have been well received. Balancing staple offerings with limited seasonal varieties, Miharu Brewery continues to grow and evolve in its sake-making journey.
