The company was founded in 1912 (Meiji 45) in Fukue Town, Atsumi District, using well water from the historic site of the Toda family residence. For over a century, it has continued to produce sake as a local brewery in the Higashi-Mikawa region. They are deeply committed to crafting authentic sake—carefully brewed by local people, using locally grown rice and water that flows through their hometown, for the enjoyment of the local community. Since its founding, the brewery has consistently emphasized hands-on, meticulous brewing. At the same time, under the motto, “Tradition is a new spirit that overcomes the power of the old,” they have also embraced innovation by incorporating the latest technologies, pursuing an intelligent approach to brewing alongside traditional methods. This balanced combination of tradition and innovation has earned recognition—since adopting modern systems, the brewery has won the Gold Award seven times at the National New Sake Appraisal (Zenkoku Shinshu Kanpyoukai). They believe that by sincerely and carefully delivering their sake, they can bring richness and comfort to more people and share the true appeal of Japanese sake with the world.
