Founded in Asahikawa, Hokkaido in 1899, Takasago Sake Brewery has a history spanning over 120 years. Surrounded by four rivers, the region boasts abundant water sources, particularly using the underground water from the Chubetsu River, which has a low iron content and is ideal for sake brewing. Taking advantage of Hokkaido's harsh winter cold, they produce sake with a smooth, mellow sweetness.
