Kirei Brewery Company
Hiroshima
The name “Kirei” (meaning “Turtle’s Age”) was inspired by the Japanese proverb “Cranes live a thousand years, turtles live ten thousand,” symbolizing longevity and eternal prosperity. Originally known as “Yoshidaya no Sake” and cherished by customers for years, the sake was renamed “Kirei” in the early Meiji era by the head of the brewery, Kotaro Ishii since then, its refined taste has been passed down from person to person, captivating sake enthusiasts and maintaining its legacy of excellence.
