Brewed from the finest Yamadanishiki rice, Iwanokura Junmaiginjou is a Junmai Ginjo sake that offers a fantastic, refined taste. Originating in Saga Prefecture, this sake presents a mixture of subtly sweet flavours. It is well suited for pairing with dishes like sushi or seafood. The polish ratio of 55 tells us that the rice kernel has been polished to 55% of its original size, which leads to cleaner and purer flavours. A perfect choice for beginners looking to explore the world of premium sake!

Tenzan Brewery Company

Saga

In 1875, in Ogī, Saga Prefecture, northern Kyushu, the Shichida family was running a watermill, flour milling, and noodle-making business. When a nearby sake brewery closed down, they decided to enter the sake-making industry. Using high-quality sake rice grown in the Saga Plain and natural spring water from the Tenzan mountain range—also known for its fireflies—the brewery has been crafting sake with dedication. Their main brand, "Tenzan," is named after the mountain and has been in production since the brewery's founding. In 2001, the sixth-generation owner, Kensuke Shichida, launched a new brand, "Shichida," which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
