Really a desire-able sake. Bold and broad aromas with a balanced set of flavors. I liked the banana, honey and tropical notes - reminded me of a very mild pina colada.

The “black dragonfly” is absolutely a wonderful balance of aroma, flavor, and price. Paired with grilled hamachi with miso sauce. Aroma was clear and floral with hints of jasmine and fried plantain. Taste was clean and clear: honey and lemon-like citrus with a bit of banana on the finish.

A rare strain of rice. I get strong licorice or anise on the nose with a hint of menthol (mint) in the flavor. Interesting in balance. Sweetness lingers for a bit. The texture is like a fine liquor.

Very bright and lovely sake. Super dry finish, hints of jasmine and earthiness on the nose. I get notes of butteriness and crisp apple in the flavor.

Had a hard time pairing this, but I liked the dryness. Flavor profile was a bit barren aside from minerality and light pear.

Green apple marzipan on nose. I get green apple but very mild and some minerality.
