Ilaka Shuzo inherited a historic brewery founded in 1665 (the Kanbun era) in 2024, with the mission of creating “moments of happiness” through sake. While honoring tradition, the brewery also seeks new value in sake-making, leading to the construction of a new facility in Matsukawa Village, Azumino—an area known for its ideal natural environment. Its brand name is "ILAKA". Blessed with rich nature and an excellent climate, Matsukawa provides the finest rice and water, enabling Iraka Shuzo to craft sake that tells a new story while sharing the spirit of Japanese culture with the world.
