Located in Tamura City, Fukushima Prefecture, Genba Honten is a historic small-scale sake brewery founded in 1823, producing only 200 to 300 koku of sake annually. Under the leadership of President and Brewmaster Yujiro Genba, the brewery's sake 'Abukuma' is crafted with a focus on enhancing the dining experience. The sake is designed to complement food by having a subtle aroma that does not interfere with the flavors of the dishes, but rather accentuates them.
