Narumi Brewery Company

Aomori

Founded in 1806, the brewery is well-known for its flagship brand, 'Kikunoi.' The name 'Kikunoi' originated with the second-generation owner, who loved chrysanthemum flowers. He believed that incorporating their fragrance into the sake would enhance its enjoyment and please customers. During the brewing process, he successfully placed chrysanthemum branches at the press. Surrounded by Mount Hakkoda and Mount Iwaki, the brewery uses snowmelt water from local wells and locally sourced rice to create delicious sake from these excellent ingredients.
