Toyoda Shuzo Brewery Company

Aichi

The brewery was founded in 1923 (Taisho 12) in what is now Kitamachi, Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture. This area is blessed with abundant water, where digging a well brings up pure subsoil water from the Yahagi River. With permission from the local Koromo Shrine, the brewery received the name "Kaō (Nioizakura)" from a poem monument on the shrine grounds and began producing Seishu Kaō (Nioizakura). Under the name Seishu Toyota Masamune, they also produce a variety of sake including daiginjo, junmai, and honjozo. These sake products are especially beloved by the local community and have earned broad support from fans across the region.
