A premium blend of the legacy Omachi rice polished to an impressive 45% to unveil its true essence. Produced by the renowned Takahashi Brewery in Yamagata, this sake's luxurious and elegant notes are a statement in themselves. Despite its distinctly light body, every sip is rewarding, packed with subtle complexities that make it both interesting and pleasing. Picture the mild sweetness of orchard-fresh fruits against a backdrop of velvety snow in Yamagata's winters. That's what the first sip tastes like. It has a mellow savoriness which beautifully balances the sweetness, unveiling the sincerity of the land it is brewed on. With an alcohol content of 16.8%, it's perfect for those special moments to celebrate or unwind. This sake pairs well with a range of dishes. Try it with fresh sashimi, grilled fish, or delicate tofu dishes. A true crown jewel of Japanese sake culture.

Takahashi Brewery Company
Yamagata
Founded in 1902 (Meiji 35), Tohoku Izumi Brewery is located in Fukura, a port town in Yuza, north of Sakata City in Yamagata Prefecture, facing the Sea of Japan. They use pristine spring water from Mount Chokai, one of Yamagata’s most iconic mountains, and focus on brewing premium sake, particularly tokutei meisho-shu (special designation sake).
Tohoku Izumi was one of the first breweries in Japan to commercially release a ginjo-style sake, known at the time as “daiginjo.” Today, the brewery continues to specialize in junmai and junmai ginjo, developing distinct flavor and aroma profiles for each label to meet a wide range of consumer preferences.
The brewery is also deeply committed to the study of sake aging. The president himself leads research into various aging techniques, exploring differences by method, sake type, and maturation period, in pursuit of expanding the potential of aged sake.
