Founded in the late Edo period, Urakawa Brewery has stood the test of time with its 140-year-old establishment still standing strong. The sake is made using the subsoil water from the Unzen mountain range, which, despite being hard water, is smooth and rich in minerals. This gives the sake a distinguished aroma and a refreshing taste. Throughout the eras of Edo, Meiji, Taisho, Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa, we have preserved our traditional brewing methods. The clear water flowing in front of our entrance leaves a lasting impression.
