Gifu

Okuhida Sake Brewery was founded in 1720 (Kyōhō 5) and has been preserving its sake brewing tradition in the town of Hida-Kanayama for over 300 years. Located between the Maze and Masuda rivers at the border of the Hida and Mino regions, the brewery benefits from the area's abundant, pristine spring water—an essential part of its heritage and commitment to quality. Using carefully selected rice and handling the pure Hida water with great care, the brewery continues to craft sake with traditional techniques passed down through generations. This dedication to quality is at the heart of Okuhida's brewing philosophy. In recent years, Okuhida has also embraced innovation—developing low-alcohol sake and producing liqueurs made with locally grown fruits such as yuzu, plum, and apple.
