Our exact founding year is unknown, but records show our existence as early as 1900. In 1988, we changed our name from Nishizawa Sake Brewery to Shirakami Sake Brewery, reflecting our connection to the pure waters flowing from the Shirakami Mountains. With an annual production of just 300 koku, we remain one of the smallest breweries in Japan. However, we believe in prioritizing quality over quantity. As brewers, our mission is to deliver the finest sake in its best condition. More than anything, we value the smiles of those who enjoy our sake.
