Hamada Brewery Company

Kagoshima

In the first year of the Meiji era (1868), Denbei Hamada began distilling shochu as a family business, inheriting the production methods. Since then, we have remained dedicated to shochu production to this day. With the philosophy of aiming to be a self-sustaining enterprise and fostering spiritual growth, we constructed a state-of-the-art new factory in Ichikikushikino City in the 12th year of Heisei (2000). Furthermore, besides authentic shochu, we have started producing liqueurs and are moving forward into a new era. Despite Kagoshima's fame for shochu, we also produce sake, which is uncommon in the region.
