Surrounded by beautiful mountains near the border of Oita and Fukuoka prefectures lies Hita City, once prospered as a territory of the Edo Shogunate. Known as the "Kyoto of Kyushu," this area has nurtured a unique and rich culture and industry. Since our founding in the first year of the Kansei era, we have been using the pure water from the local Rōshin Shrine spring to produce sake and shochu, beloved by people from all walks of life.
