Fujioka Brewery Company

Kyoto

Fujioka Sake Brewery was founded in October 1902 by Eitaro Fujioka. Since then, it has become well-known for its "Mancho" brand, named for longevity and good fortune, earning a reputation for high quality. This dedication is continued in the "Sookuu" brand, established by the fifth-generation owner, Masaaki Fujioka. The family motto, "Good sake will surely reach the heavens and people," reflects their commitment to quality. The brewery produces only junmai sake, crafted meticulously by hand under the direct supervision of the owner as the toji (master brewer). The "Sookuu" brand aims to create sake that offers a sense of calm and comfort, much like looking up at a clear blue sky.
