Sugita Brewery Company

Tochigi

The brewery is located in Oyama City, Tochigi Prefecture. The concept behind their sake is "authentically Japanese sake." Founded in the early Meiji period, the first generation, Fusaichi Sugita, moved from the Chuetsu region of Niigata and began brewing sake. The founder personally crafted the sake, starting production in the area of Nakamura Kamizumi, known for its excellent water quality, and the brewery has been passed down through four generations. The brewing water is sourced from underground spring water from the Nikkō Mountain range. The motto is "No shortcuts in brewing.”
