Kamoizumi Brewery Company

Kamoizumi Brewery Company

Hiroshima

Founded in 1912 as Maegaki Sake Brewery, Kamoizumi Brewery has been crafting sake under the "Kamoizumi" brand. In the mid-1960s, the second-generation brewer aimed to revive traditional sake brewing, using only rice and rice koji. After much trial and error, they released "Honjikomi Kamoizumi" in 1972, becoming pioneers of junmai brewing. Since then, the brewery has dedicated itself to advancing junmai brewing across Japan and supporting the local sake industry in Saijo.
