Rating from Customers

3.9

2 reviews

World-renowned wine critic Robert M. Parker selected "Watanobune" Junmai Daiginjo as one of the top 15 of 216 leading Japanese brands. The sweet and refreshing ginjo aroma of green apples and strawberries spreads on the palate, and the robust and heavy rice flavor of the Watabune sake rice can be enjoyed. The sake has a sharpness and a refined overall taste. It is very easy to drink, even if you try to drink it little by little.

Fuchu Homare Brewery Company

Fuchu Homare Brewery Company

Ibaraki

Our brewery was established in 1854 in Fuchu, located in the heart of Ibaraki. The current seventh-generation brewer has been dedicated to reviving the legendary sake rice strain 'Wataribune,' which had become extinct in the early Showa period. With the help of local farmers, cultivation began from the few remaining seeds. This passion for sake-making led to the creation of the brand 'Wataribune,' whose Daiginjo won a gold medal at the National New Sake Competition in 1996. Today, we continue our relentless pursuit of crafting excellent sake.
