Kohoku Brewery Company
Ibaraki
Kahoku Brewery is nestled in the nature-rich Okukuji region and is known locally as the producer of Asahizakura sake. From daiginjo sake to unique apple liqueurs made with locally grown apples, the brewery crafts over 100 varieties of beverages. Without a toji (master brewer), owner Hiromichi Saito personally oversees the brewing process. Despite its small-scale production, the brewery focuses on distinctive sake-making. Their products are not distributed wholesale, except to inns and hotels, and are mainly sold exclusively at the brewery's direct sales shop.
