UNO, meaning '1' in Italian, is crafted using the 'one-step brewing' method. (Typically, sake is brewed with the 'three-step brewing' process, where rice and water are added in three stages.) This one-step brewing technique results in a sake with strong, unique flavors of sweetness and acidity. With a high alcohol content of 19%, it is considered a strong type of sake, so please enjoy it responsibly. During the hot summer, try the 'SAKE ROCK' style by adding ice to this robust sake for a refreshing drink.

Ookura Honke Brewery Company

Nara

Located in Kashiba City, Nara Prefecture, Ookura Honke is a sake brewery founded in 1896 as Okura Katsuji Shoten. Although it temporarily closed in the autumn of 2000, it resumed brewing when Takahiko, the current 4th-generation master brewer and toji, returned from Yokohama. The brewery uses homegrown rice called 'Hinohikari' and employs traditional 'yamahai' brewing methods. Ookura sake is known for its distinctive and robust flavor, which deepens over time.
