Raifuku Brewery was founded in 1716 (Kyōhō 1) by merchants from Ōmi, drawn to the pure waters at the foot of Mount Tsukuba. The name "来福(Raifuku)" comes from the haiku: "福や来む　笑う上戸の　門の松(Fuku ya komu, warau jōgo no, mon no matsu)" ("Good fortune will come to the home of those who welcome it with laughter.") With the hope of bringing happiness to those who enjoy our sake, we continue to craft each bottle with care.
