Yamamura Brewery, founded in 1762, is a historic sake brewery located at an altitude of 550 meters. The current brewery building, constructed in 1860, has a charming and timeless presence that continues to captivate visitors. Taking advantage of Aso’s distinct temperature variations, the brewery carefully crafts its sake using pure spring water from Mt. Aso and locally grown rice. Its flagship label, Aso no Sake Reizan, is a longtime local favorite, loved by the community for generations.
