Established in 1870, our brewery is located in the snowy region of Minami, Yokote City, Yamagata Prefecture. Our brewing process is distinguished by the use of 'Dewasansan' rice cultivated in our own fields and the underground water from the Futsuzawa mountain range, drawn from approximately 20 meters below ground. We carefully select and utilize koji and yeast strains that align with our desired sake quality, continuously evolving through daily research and experimentation. 'Gasanryu' brand sake is characterized by its fresh and clear taste, making it easy to drink and enjoyable for everyone without getting tired of it. We strive to create sake that is universally delicious and approachable, constantly researching and challenging ourselves to achieve this goal.
