Rather than a typical clean and light Niigata sake, this one has a well-balanced richness and umami, making it a great match for rich American dishes. The label is also cute.

I get light hints of the rice and a little bit of fruit in the smell. The color reminds me of a light yellow straw bale. It's a mild sweetness to it with a nice acidic finish. I still can not pinpoint what this fruit undertone is but I always enjoy it. A nice light to medium body and a good finish make this sake so enjoyable. As I drink more, I feel the rice flavor comes out and there is almost a creaminess to it.
