Savor the luxurious taste of this Junmai Daiginjo with a polishing ratio of 40%, presenting a harmonious balance of sweetness and umami. Its low SMV of 1.5 suggests a slightly sweet flavor profile which is enhanced by an acidity of 1.4, bringing a touch of pleasantly tart notes on the palate. The velvety taste from Iwate prefecture will pair wonderfully with sashimi or light appetizers. Don't miss this striking black label for a distinctive sake experience!

Sekinoichi Brewery Company

Sekinoichi Brewery Company

Iwate

Founded in 1918, our brewery was named "Sekinoichi" by Imperial Prince who encouraged us to create sake that brings joy to people. Before World War II, we were one of the largest breweries in the region, but we faced difficult times during and after the war. The second-generation owner, Masaru Sato, left a will advising the closure of the brewery. However, determined to preserve the historic buildings and landscape of Ichinoseki, the third-generation owner, Koki Sato, invested his own resources to keep the company alive. Our strength lies in our dedication to flavors that truly represent Iwate—creating products and services that can only be made in our hometown.
