Every autumn, this special Junmai sake is crafted using 'Dewa no Sato,' a sake rice developed in Yamagata Prefecture, and fermented with two types of yeast also developed in Yamagata. The gentle aroma of Nashi pear from the 'Yamagata NF-KA yeast' and the vibrant, ripe apple-like scent from the 'Yamagata yeast' combine to create a rich and lively flavor. It's been aged to perfection, adding a smoothness to its complexity. With a robust and well-rounded taste, it has a clean finish.

Kato Kahachiro Brewery Company

Yamagata

Founded in 1872 in Oyama, a region in the Shonai area of Yamagata Prefecture, we benefit from the perfect trifecta for sake brewing: high-quality rice, pristine water, and the harsh cold of winter. Ever since our inception, we've diligently upheld the traditions of Oyama Sake while also incorporating modern techniques. This blend of old and new has allowed us to produce well-balanced sake with a rich aroma, expanding our distribution nationwide.
