Located at the entrance to the Kiso Valley, Minosaka-shita is a region known as "Ura-Kiso," where an old shortcut connects Shinshu and Hida, crossing the Kiso River and extending northward. It is made using locally grown rice from Gifu Prefecture—Hida Homare and Gohyakumangoku—and pure spring water from Onozawa, where Yamauchi Brewery is located.
