Kaishuichi Brewery Company

Fukushima

Founded in 1643, our historic sake brewery faced a temporary closure due to bankruptcy in 2005, but we resumed operations in 2007. We produce two brands: 'Kaishuichi' and 'Gihei.' Our president emphasizes the importance of using local ingredients, saying, 'Sake is best when made with local products. We aim to use as many ingredients from Fukushima Prefecture as possible.' Our production is limited, making our sake highly rare and sought after.
