This Tokubetsu Junmai from Iwate prefecture, polished to 55%, is a treat for the senses. With an acidity of 1.9, it strikes a perfect balance of sweet and tart. An SMV of 8 indicates a slightly dry finish, hinting at subtle complexities. Experience flavors reminiscent of a delicate dance between sweet rice and subtle fruit undertones. The 'Onikenbai' invites you to join the melody with each sip. Great for pairing with grilled fish or light salads. Enjoy the dance!

Kikuzakari Brewery Company

Kikuzakari Brewery Company

Iwate

Founded in 1894, our brewery is the sole sake brewery in Kitaami City, Iwate Prefecture. Despite facing damage from the Great East Japan Earthquake, including partial collapse of the brewery and complete destruction of the soy sauce brewery, we successfully raised funds through crowdfunding. Today, we continue to exclusively use locally grown rice from Iwate Prefecture to produce only Junmai-shu (pure rice sake).
