This sake beautifully captures the essence of Nagomi Town’s natural environment. Made with Kumamoto #9 yeast, it offers a distinctive aroma and a natural sweetness, perfectly complemented by the silky, rich texture imparted by the local brewing water. The interplay of koji mold and microorganisms creates a unique freshness, delivering an almost bursting umami sensation on the palate. Once you start drinking, it’s hard to stop—a truly magical experience.

Hananoka Brewery Company

Kumamoto

Founded in 1902, Hananoka Brewery has been in operation since the Meiji era. They choose traditional 'Kimoto' brewing, use Edo Higo rice 'Homase,' and have revived 'Makou' (plowing with horses), a practice believed to have been common in Japan until around 1955. By incorporating these ancient cultures and techniques, they continue to produce sake with a deep respect for tradition.
