The history of the Tonoike Shuzoten dates back to 1829 when a merchant from Omi came to Tochigi and founded a sake brewery. It started with merchants buying rice and turning it into high-value sake. The brewery is also focused on exporting and currently ships to 17 countries as of 2023. The brewery attracts tens of thousands of visitors annually, boosting Mashiko Town as a tourist destination. We strive to offer warm hospitality, sharing the joy of sake and the charm of Mashiko Town with our guests.
