With a rich, velvety texture reminiscent of dessert wine, this sake offers a gentle sweetness, balanced acidity, and the subtle aroma of oak. Its delicate harmony creates a lingering aftertaste that invites you to savor every sip. Made with malic, citric, and lactic acids, this sake achieves a smooth and balanced flavor profile. Note: Kijoshu is a unique type of sweet sake brewed using sake instead of water, giving it a luxurious, silky richness.

Asamai Brewery Company

Akita

Asamai Shuzo, founded in 1917 by the first generation, Sōkō Kakizaki, operates with a strong belief: "It is only by using local water, rice, and people that we can truly call it 'Akita's sake.'" The brewery uses locally grown sake rice and spring water from their own land to create distinctive sake. Since 2011, they have switched to producing only junmai sake. The brewery team strives to craft sake that will bring a sense of "gentle warmth" to those who enjoy it, working together with dedication and passion.
