This Umeshu won the gold prize at the Concours des vins Féminalise (the world competition in which all the judges are women) from 2020 to 2023. It uses the ripe plum made in Japan, soaked into the liquid based on ginjo-shu, then has been aged for a long time so you can feel its mellow, rich flavor and sweetness. Not only Umeshu lovers but Sake lovers will love this. It's good for aperitif and it is recommended to have it straight so you can enjoy its deep taste, but also you can have it on the rocks, with water or hot water, whatever you like. It goes well with something sweet such as Yakitori with teriyaki sauce or spring roll or chocolate, also you can put it on the ice cream or parfait.
