Red Label is brewed with Yamada Nishiki rice, known as the 'King of Sake Rice,' grown in California by the LaGrande family. The soft water comes from the Mokelumne River. Polished to 60%, it qualifies as a junmai ginjo. It has aromas of orange blossom, young plum, almond, and fresh-cut grass with a hint of cream. The palate is smooth and expansive, with minerality and a touch of bell pepper bitterness balancing the fruit, and a clean, dry finish.

Sako brews small-batch sake using traditional Japanese brewing methods and proprietary techniques adapted for the California climate. Den Sake is a pure rice sake made from single-origin Cal-Hikari rice from Rue & Forsman ranch in the Sacramento Valley. We think you will find that Den Sake is a perfect complement to local and Asian cuisine.
