This sake boasts aromas reminiscent of sweet and nutty butterscotch and milk candy and a comforting crème brûlée-like sweetness akin to slow-roasted sweet potatoes. Its distinctive combination of sweetness, acidity, and a robust, earthy aroma is a hallmark of Tamagawa. The palate is dense and rich, with a well-balanced interplay of abundant sweetness and vibrant acidity that brings a refreshing sensation. Lingering flavors include a blend of sweet and bitter notes akin to dark chocolate, as well as a sweet and spicy fruitiness reminiscent of cinnamon-sugar baked apples. The finish is soft and lingering, leaving a pleasant and refreshing impression. Anyway, it is delicious on the rocks. The temperature and alcohol content change endlessly with the melting of the ice, and the resulting changes in taste are endlessly enjoyable.

Kinoshita Brewery Company

Kinoshita Brewery Company

Kyoto

Kinoshita Brewery was founded in 1842 (Tenpō 13) in Kumihama, Kyotango. Our flagship brand, Tamagawa, takes its name from the Kawakamitani River, which flows right beside our brewery. This river was once a crystal-clear stream lined with smooth pebbles, and given the tradition of revering rivers and lakes as sacred, it was named Tamagawa—meaning "a beautiful, jewel-like river." For generations, we have been brewing sake in this region, known for its thriving fishing industry. As a result, our sake is crafted to complement seafood, featuring a crisp, dry profile perfect for pairing with meals.
